AIMS is ... The Ability to Interact Meaningfully in Society
AIMS are achieved
through the goals we set for today
and those we set for the future

The ability to engage with people and events in life doesn't just happen for people with autism.
The ability develops when relevant life skills are taught and opportunities are provided to learn to use those skills well with the people and events in society.
The approach we take matters. Planned efforts by parents & society make a significant difference in the lives of people with autism.

AIMS involves learning.
Learning communication, socialization and skills for activities of daily living throughout their lifespan.
We can teach and develop these abilities.

|
AIMS involves opportunities.
Opportunities to practice using those skills they've been taught in various environments in home/school & community.
We can create those opportunities.
